The usual Blackwell Island picnic is replaced this year with a breakfast potluck at Carder Farm hosted by Coeur d’Alene Audubon chapter members Theresa Shaffer and Wes Hanson. Their farm and home is located in Cougar Bay adjacent to a 160-acre conservation easement.

Our hosts will provide the main dish of breakfast casseroles and beverages, plates and utensils; bring your favorite breakfast item to share, e.g., fruit salads, breads, rolls or muffins. If you have a chair and coffee cup, that will be helpful to our hosts as they prepare for this large group. Don’t forget your binoculars as we will be birding the area after we eat and visit. Parking is limited so carpooling is highly recommended.
